As the digital landscape rapidly evolves, Westpac's HR team recognised the importance of retaining and attracting tech talent in a fiercely competitive market. Competing not only with other banks but also tech companies in various industries, Westpac engaged Enspire to help promote its Tech Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and technology strategy.

In 2022 - 2023 our consultant joined the team and collaborated with leaders in HR and recruitment to develop an internal communication and engagement strategy to retain and attract top tech talent, which included:
Engineering awareness campaign: We collaborated with the Recruitment team to develop an innovative internal communication plan to complement the external campaign designed to change perceptions of an engineering career at Westpac. The collateral included leader and recruiter talking points, a Tech ambassador video and awareness campaigns using internal digital screens, a stand at the TechX expo and leader’s LinkedIn posts.
Board showcase: Understanding the significance of having Board Directors aligned with the EVP and future direction, we worked with GMs to create a Board showcase. The support included the session outline, speaking points, and designing engaging displays to visually represent how the team is bringing to life the Tech EVP.
Redesign of the People Hub: To empower the team with essential tools and resources for personal and professional growth, we worked with SMEs across the business to revamp the People Hub.
Compelling videos: We created engaging videos to showcase the uniqueness of being an engineer at Westpac and highlight Westpac’s purpose and what it means to the team.
Storytelling: Using the power of storytelling, we collected and shared narratives from employees who are creating better futures for Westpac customers. The GMs shared the stories on the news site and at showcases.
